Decolonisation – Guest Lecture Series

Today is the first day of a Decolonisation Guest Lecture Series taking place at the Department of Philosophy in Sheffield. We’ll be hearing from Dr. Felix Maringe and Dr. Elvis Imafidon – from 1pm to 4pm in the Diamond Workroom 3.

Schedule:

1pm: Welcome and intro from Philosophy Dept Race Equality Interns Charlotte Flores and Tareeq Jalloh

1.15 pm-2.15 pm: Decolonising Philosophy: Paying Attention to Pedagogy with Dr Elvis Imafidon – Followed by Q&A Session

2.15 pm-2.45 pm Break and Refreshments

2.45 pm -3.45 pm: Decolonising Higher Education in Global North University Settings: Opportunities and Impediments with Felix Maringe – Followed by Q&A Session

3.45 -4pm: Closing Reflections & Remarks
