Centre member Komarine Romdenh-Romluc is organising a clothing collection this week for migrants in camps in Calais and Dunkirk, who are living in horrible conditions. In particular, the items they really need are: good quality and tough men’s clothes, boots and trainers, sleeping bags and small tents.
Komarine will be leaving a box outside of her office this Wednesday, 1 May 2019, for department members and students to leave items.
This is part of a wider collection run by ‘Sheffield Donations for Refugees‘ who can be contacted directly for non-department members who wish to make a donation. Further details of their drop-off points etc are available by clicking the link. The team are hoping to send off items to Calais very soon, and Komarine has asked that anyone wishing to donate items to the department collection do so by 7th May 2019.
