‘What Good Is Philosophy? – A Benefit Conference for Ukraine’ will be taking place between 17-19 March 2023, and Professor Angie Hobbs, Professor of the Public Understanding of Philosophy at the University of Sheffield, will be one of the speakers at the event, as well as working to promote the event and find media and academic partners.
The event, hosted by the University of Toronto, Canada, will be raising funds required to establish a Centre for Civic Engagement at Kyiv Mohyla Academy, Ukraine. Once established, the Centre will provide support for Ukrainian academic and civic institutions, paving the way for a vibrant post-war Ukraine.
The conference can be watched online on the Munk School’s YouTube channel from 17-19 March 2023.
Keynote speakers include Canadian novelist Margaret Atwood and Ukrainian journalist and philosopher Volodymyr Yermolenko.
