Philosophy in Schools: Enriched Curriculum, Enriched Lives

From today on, you can find a new page for the upcoming event “Philosophy in Schools: Enriched Curriculum, Enriched Lives” on our website.

The event is organized by Angie Hobbs and centre co-director Josh Forstenzer, addressing the issues of how “in the age of “fake news”, “post-truth” politics, and increasing media polarisation, the capacities for critical thought and informed democratic dialogue are desperately needed” – and how philosophy as a subject in schools can help “to build critical intellectual skills, creative imagination, and civic empowerment in children and teenagers”.
