Centre member Ben Davies is organising a British Academy-funded conference on The Ethics of Health Communication. The event will bring together speakers (including Centre Co-director Jules Holroyd) with backgrounds in philosophy, politics, and health, and with expertise on a range of ethical issues in health communication including the communication of clinical uncertainty; public health expertise; and communication in maternity services. Ben is also very grateful to Sheffield Philosophy PhD students Charlie Potter and Joseph Holmes for assistance with chairing the speaker panels.
The event will run over two days, 24-25 June 2025, at the British Academy in London. A full list of speakers and registration details can be found on the British Academy website.
